Another Heirloom Created

As a perfect finish to my work week and right in time for Christmas, I just finished this Prayer Box that will become a family heirloom.
Merry Christmas! God loves all of you!

Out of the Darkness

Whilst trying to crawl out of this week's "Dark Place", a vision emerged and took on a life all it's own.
I needed that. Thanks Mom!
A Nagahara flute never looked so good.

A Sneak peek

Wanted to get these done sooner, but it's been a bit overwhelming lately.
These should be available early 2012.
(Yes, I know this pic is Photoshopped, but this is darn close to the real thing)

The vision has begun.

I'm starting to engrave another "Masterpiece". This is one of a two gun set that is the 2012 Guns of the Year and will be featured in a later issue of "The American Handgunner Magazine"
It doesn't seem to look like much more than some squiggly lines, but my eyes see something else.
Stay tuned...........

Not Glitter, but Gold none the less

Every once in a while you just have to stop and "clean" up the mess.
When working with precious metals, little shavings, bits and tiny pieces end up on the floor. It's always a good idea to sift through the dirt---YOU NEVER EVER THROW IT AWAY!
This may not look like much, but believe me, it is over half an ounce of pure 24k gold swept up from the floor.
I think this is called "Pay Dirt".

A beautiful lapel pin that proudly honors the alumni of Jefferson Union High School.
"Yellow Jacket Pride" runs deep and here's a great way to keep the memory of a great school alive.
After many hours in the studio, I believe I've designed a perfect tribute to J.U.H.S. in gleaming Brown and Gold.
